As an Environmentally Conscious artist I am fortunate here in the Bahamas to have year round natural vegetation to provide me with
fiber for unlimited variations of handmade paper.
Local leaves, flowers and seaweed are mixed with
recycled paper to make my canvas and painting
medium for my contemporary artworks.
The process I follow to make my paper is much the
same as that of the Chinese who first made paper
in 105AD. I feel fortunate to have entered into
this broad field of handmade paper that for many
years was a closely guarded secret. Creating my "Artistry in Handmade Paper artworks is my passion and I am delighted that in my small way I can honour the environment while indulging this passion.
